Blink has a substantial offer when it comes to intelligent security. The Amazon -owned company does everything from its mini small and compact cameras to video timbres and flood cameras. He even offered a pan and an inclination chamber before the ring.

Like Philips Hue, Nest, Arlo and Ring, Blink also offers subscription plans that are not necessary for the main function of their devices, but they will give access to more functions. Here is everything you need to know.
What is the Blink subscription plan?
Blink offers subscription plans that unlock additional functions for its flickering cameras and timbres. These plans provide a series of features, from cloud storage for your video recordings, which allows you to review past events and access clips remotely, to the detection of people and video recording.
Although the cheapest subscription plans, Blink subscription plans are not very different from Philips Hue Secure, Ring Home, Nest Aking and Arlo Secure, all of which we have separate features if you want to understand the price differences in the various smart home security options and their monthly costs.
To blink specifically, which, of course, we are covering here, there are two subscription options: Basic and Plus.
Do cameras and bells flash need a subscription?
No, cameras and bells flash do not require a subscription to work, like philips hue, arlo, nest and ring no.
Without a Blink subscription plan, you can still transmit a live view of its devices (up to five minutes), you will receive basic movement alerts without subscription and you can use the bidirectional audio function. Alexa can also use without a subscription.
However, you cannot store or review recorded clips, and the characteristics such as the detection of people (in compatible devices), together with the exchange of videos and the movement of movement detection, is not possible without a subscription.
What do you get with a flickering subscription?
It depends on what flicker subscription is registered as to what you will get. As mentioned, there are two flickering subscription plans available: Basic flashing plan and Blink Plus plan. As expected, all the characteristics you get with the Blink Basic Plan, you also get with the Blink Plus plan, along with some additional extras.
Basic flickering plan
Blink’s basic plan covers a device, so you have more than one flickering camera and want all the additional features offered on all its devices, you must opt for the Blink Plus plan. However, if you only have a blink device, this is what you get with the subscription:

Keep in mind that for some of those characteristics, you will need a compatible flickering device. For example, the photo capture function, which captures images periodically to obtain more coverage, is only available in the Blink Outdoor 4, the cameras flooded with cable, the interior and exterior cameras (third generation), the video door and the mini 2 flickering. Meanwhile, the people detection function is offered in the Blink Blaink Overor Blink and Blink Mini 2 flood light.
Blink Plus plan
The Blink Plus plan covers unlimited blinking devices, so you have more than one blink device in your home and want additional characteristics in them, this is the plan you will want to choose. In addition to the characteristics of the Blink basic plan mentioned above, you also get the following:
- Personalized notification
- 10% discount on flickering devices
- Extended guarantee coverage
The extended guarantee coverage is probably the greatest benefit of the Blink Plus plan, except to obtain the additional characteristics of the basic plan in all its flasted devices. However, personalized notifications are also useful, especially if you are at home and want to keep your flashing cameras on, but you don’t want them to notify you every time the dog moves.
How much does a flickering subscription plan cost?
Blink offers two levels of subscription plans: basic and more. Both levels come with monthly and annual billing options. The basic plans are designed for individual cameras, while the most covers all the eligible devices in their flicker account.
Basic Plan: This plan allows cloud storage and video history for a camera. The price of the basic plan is $ 3/£ 2.50 per month or $ 30/£ 24 per year.
More plan: This plan covers all its flickering devices in a single account and offers extended characteristics such as the ability to temporarily stop the alerts activated by movement for up to 24 hours, as well as extended guarantees. The Blink Plus plan costs $ 10 / £ 8 per month or $ 100 / £ 80 per year.
Blink Subscription Plans Frequently Questions
There is no storage limit with Blink subscription plans. It can store an unlimited number of events for up to 60 days in any flashing chamber covered by a flickering subscription.
The Blink Plus plan comes with the benefit of the extended guarantee. Your flickering device must be within the original guarantee period when subscribed to the Blink Plus plan and will be covered until your Blink Plus plan discontinues.
