The name Trametes means “one who is thin,” mirroring the mushroom’s slender, fan-like structure, while versicolor signifies “of various colors,” a nod to its vibrant, multihued patterns reminiscent of a turkey’s tail. In homage to this, we have chosen the name Tremetes, LLC, a unique twist on the classic Turkey Tail mushroom.
